What is the AI Chief of Staff?
The AI Chief of Staff is the single interface for working with Smartcat's AI coworkers. You tell it what you need, or hand it a task, and it determines which coworker should act and coordinates the work — so you direct outcomes instead of managing tools.
Which coworkers does it coordinate?
At launch, it coordinates four coworkers: the Content Translator Coworker (including image translation), the Content Update Coworker, the Reviewer Coworker, and the Quality Assurance Coworker. The Reviewer edits translations and leaves comments; Quality Assurance classifies issues by type and severity and produces a quality score without editing the translation itself.
Do I need to know which coworker handles which job?
No. That's the point. You say what you need, and the AI Chief of Staff routes the request to the right coworker — or several, when a task spans more than one.
Does it remember my preferences?
Yes. It learns your role and preferences from your session history, so repeat sessions build on the last one instead of starting over. You won't re-explain your context every time.
How do I get started?
