As for my skill set, I am actively using Trados, Memoq, Memsource, Polyglot, Lilt, Xbench, and some subtitling tools such as Captionhub, Subtitle Edit, and Amara. I am mainly specializing in IT/software localization, technical translation, website localization, marketing transcreation, and subtitling. I am also translating into English when it comes to academic research and theses, which have been published in local and international magazines on psychology, education, and social sciences. I have also lived in Germany for 4 years and can translate from German to Turkish. I am working as a full-time translator at the Ministry of Justice in Turkey. I also work at the Turkish Standards Institution as a part-time language expert and translate EC and ISO standards into Turkish. I was born in 1998 in İzmir. I am studying Translation and Interpreting at İstanbul 29 Mayıs University. I am also doing a minor in psychology. In my education, I'm exposed to many different proffessions that will increase my translation competence and cultural understanding. I am able to use Cat tools. My greatest wish is to be a proffessional translator with high efficiency. I am confident and reliable in my language skills and i believe that i will be efficient for the role of freelance translator.
