I'm an Italian TRANSLATOR, PROOFREADER, author and teacher with a degree in English Language and Literature. I translate from ENGLISH and FRENCH to ITALIAN, my native language, I have worked in the publishing field as an author and coauthor, writing and editing books, dictionaries and readers for students of English (for more than 12 years), and created crosswords and puzzles in English for a magazine published monthly (for about five years). I’m a translator working from English, German and French into Italian. I graduated from the Advanced School for Interpreters and Translators in Florence where I got a University Diploma (1998) EN>IT - DE>IT. I began to work as foreign language expert and manager assistant for an international architect in Florence (1999-2002). After a couple of years, I joined a buying office (2002-2006 ) - dealing with the fashion industry, first as a translator, and then, as a production and logistics coordinator. I'm a freelance translator since 2007. I'm a TAUS certified Post Editor, Quality Manager and Transcreator. My fields of specialization are Marketing and Web Marketing, Media and Communication, Cryptocurrencies, Clothing and Healthcare.

I also cooperate with a local web agency in charge of translating and localizing websites.

I started my career 21 years ago as in-house translator and PM at a translation agency based in Turin, Italy. After three years, I decided to take up the challenge and become a freelancer, in order to devote myself to those texts I was most interested in. My experience as PM gave me a deep insight into all aspects related to the translation process, thus I perfectly know and understand the needs and expectations of Project Managers whom I work with. I am able to work under pressure, and manage large volumes of work with no prejudice to quality.

I am able to translate very technical texts, like instruction manuals for X-ray inspection systems, but also to use my creative side to produce translations of content marketing articles.

I am a professional translator. Before and during my academic career I have worked as a freelancer, performing on specialized texts such as user manual guides, scientific abstracts, patents, technical data sheets, popular science articles, and business contracts. I am able to translate other literary genres, also less formal like novels, newspaper and fashion articles, and literary works in general with a certain degree of proficiency at using CAT tools like SmartCat, OmegaT, Wordfast Anywhere, SDL Trados, MateCat.
