I've been born to German-speaking Austrian parents but was raised in English-speaking Canada. Due to this fact and to the fact that I competed my Master's in Austria, I am fluent in both languages and am fond of translating from German into English. Since 2000, when I started my translator's career, I've managed to translate millions of words in a great range of fields, from fiction to medicine.

I am a languages student from Northern Ireland, studying Spanish and Portuguese. I may not be fully qualified, but I am now looking to fill my time with more translation due to the fact that I had to return home during my Erasmus year due to the COVID-19 outbreak. I still am continuing with my classes from my host university (Porto, in Portugal) and am currently studying a translation module so I am familiar with CAT software and the proper protocol for translation.

I've been in translations/linguistics since 1997, millions of words, vast experience, a great lot of fields, I've worked for Google, Airbnb, governments (local and states), just name it. I'm fond of languages. I can speak English (of course), French, Russian, some German, Norwegian, Chinese and even Ukrainian. I've studied Icelandic and am familiar with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Faroese. Localization/CAT tools: starting from routine tasks such as bilingual files prep and post-processing and ending with deployment of custom-tailored translation memory servers using SVN or GIT technologies. Briefly, I love everything related to languages.

I've been living Spain since September 2011 and I am bilingual. I am a English & German native speaker with a great passion for language. Since 2014 I have been working as English to German freelance translator. In addition to that I have also gained valuable in-house experience by working at established and well-known translation agencies occupying roles as translation checker and proof-reader as well as project manager and translator.
