I am a recent graduate living in Germany. I enjoy translating on the side both as a hobby as well as a steady source of income. I consider Russian, English and French as my mother tongues. Furthermore, I am a fluent speaker of German, Turkish, Italian and Spanish and gladly translate from these languages.

I have been translating and editing Italian to English professionally since the end of 2016 and as a hobby for more than a decade. My focus is IT, marketing, retail, software, general business and creative writing. Prior to translating I worked for 20+ years in IT, sales and general management.

I've been freelance translating while completing my bachelors in Comparative Literature, alongside working on my own translation projects. I have a decent amount of experience translating poetry and other literary sources, which I believe have given me a lot of tools to translate any kind of text -- including marketing, scientific, and so forth. A brief bio: I was born in Belgium and moved to the United States when I was young, hence I was thrown early on into different languages. Today, I speak/read/write in English, Dutch/Flemish, German, French, and Italian. The exchange of information and ideas across linguistic and geographic borders greatly interests me, which is why, I believe, I enjoy translating texts so much. I've been in translations/linguistics since 1997, millions of words, vast experience, a great lot of fields, I've worked for Google, Airbnb, governments (local and states), just name it. I'm fond of languages. I can speak English (of course), French, Russian, some German, Norwegian, Chinese and even Ukrainian. I've studied Icelandic and am familiar with Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Faroese. I have translated ever since my college graduation. I translate in the combinations Spanish-English, and German-English. I specialized in translating contracts, novels, certificates, certifications, wills, deeds, court sentences. Furthermore, I have translated for mining and drug companies. I work on projects concerning to drug information, medical reports, drug test results, leasing of mines, information about minerals, among others. Furthermore, I have translated novels, and poetry books. I love what I do. Currently, I am learning Portuguese and French in order to be able to translate from those languages to English.
