My name is Allie Shakked Zur and I'm an educator, writer and an experienced translator currently living in Tel Aviv. Hebrew and English are both my native tongues and I have a background in hebrew linguistics and in education as well as sports and physiology. I do translation, proofreading and transcription work in both languages in both directions.

I was lucky enough to travel the world and live in many countries, finishing school in U.A.E. and later attending the university in Greece following a job contract in the USA. My knowledge of languages from the native perspective allows me to translate at top notch quality.

I am a recent graduate living in Germany. I enjoy translating on the side both as a hobby as well as a steady source of income. I consider Russian, English and French as my mother tongues. Before moving into the translation industry, I worked for over 10 years in the Corporate IT world and have a strong background in business communications and management. My experience as a translator is predominantly in the specialisms of Travel & Tourism, Business and some work in the Arts and Fashion industry.

Native English speaker with 10 years of experience translating into English (5 as a full-time translator), an Undergraduate degree in French and Portuguese from the University of Leeds and a Masters in Translation. I also have 9 years of experience teaching English as a second language and have worked as a copywriter for 1 year in-house, and 4 years as a freelancer.
