I have graduated from the Translation and Interpreting Studies / Yeditepe University.

I was born in 1998 in İzmir. I am studying Translation and Interpreting at İstanbul 29 Mayıs University. I am also doing a minor in psychology. In my education, I'm exposed to many different proffessions that will increase my translation competence and cultural understanding. I am able to use Cat tools. My greatest wish is to be a proffessional translator with high efficiency. I am confident and reliable in my language skills and i believe that i will be efficient for the role of freelance translator.

Working as localization specialist for major accounts in IT, marketing, ERP, technical and legal since 2015. Before being freelancer, I have worked in company which is exclusive SAP SE localization partner in Turkey. I took part in localization of corporate and legal texts as well as translation processes of the SAP SE systems. Aside from ERP, I have gained experience in IT, marketing and technical texts. During my career, I have also worked as a project manager for 9 months and managed projects for major companies from IT, marketing (mainly tourism and travel) and technical fields.

I have a diploma in Translation and Interpretation Studies from one of the most prestigious universities in Turkey, and I have spent 3 months in Canada to enhance my technical competencies upon its completion. I have gained technical experience in English-Turkish technology translation for press with major companies such as Nokia, alongside translation for other diverse subjects. I also possess some knowledge of Russian and German, although my expertise lies in English-Turkish and Turkish-English translation.

Having majored in English Translation and Interpreting, I graduated from Abant Izzet Baysal University. After translated and proofread almost all kinds of texts including news reports, short stories, articles in Physics and Fine Arts, advertising copies, operating manuals etc., I have specialized in translation of medical texts such as radiology reports, discharge summaries, operative reports and pathology reports. In addition, I have received Post-Editing Certification from SDL, thanks to which I have post-edited over 500k words. So, I am be able to approach to translation from so many different angles to understand correctly, process deeply and translate functionally the texts of my customers to other language as a result of having gained valuable experience in several fields. I am working as translator in German English and Turkish.

As a passionate linguist, I made my debut in the translation and localization world in 2014, when I was only a freshman in the university. I started as an intern and ended up to be freelance translator at SDL Turkey for 2 years. During this period of time, I gained immense amount of experience and I learned how to use multiple translation tools. Following that, I worked for a transcription company and made transcriptions of voice records both in English and Turkish. Finally, I started working with Localex in 2017 and that was one of the best decisions I made regarding my profession. During my time in SDL plc. and Localex I made translations, reviews and proof-reading in a wide variety of fields such as law, IT, marketing, legal, medical, gaming. Hi, I am Mücahid, mostly called Muco for short :). I am a freelance translator with 2 years of experience. I have been speaking English for 17 years and French for 6 years. I am a huge books and movies nerd, and I am not just saying that, I love Star Wars Saga, Pulp Fiction (actually, nearly all movies made by Tarantino), Godfather, City of Women and a lot more... I also love rock. To begin with groups, Black Sabbath, Ghost, Metallica, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Depeche Mode, Led Zeppelin, and more. Besides that, I went to Medical High school, so I am familiar with latin terms. I also lived in Paris, France for 6 months. During that time, I studied at Sorbonne.
