As a Philosophy student I focused in the field of Linguistics, which during college I combined with my passion for learning foreign languages: French and Russian, as well as perfecting my English. My interest in language and logic has led me to specialize also in modern fields such as software development translations, gaming localization, AI input/output editing, etc. After college I started learning Arabic language, also combined with my job as an editorial coordinator for institutionalized magazines belonging to professionals' associations of engineers and industrial chambers.

I translate an average of 1 million words per year, which means I have translated over 30 million words throughout my career. I focus on transcreation for advertising by translating meaning and intention, not just words, and I am an expert in translating and adapting a wide range of materials

I am a Sworn English-Spanish-English Translator and Interpreter, certified by the National University of Colombia. After graduating from a double B.A. in Philosophy and History, more than six years ago, I have worked permanently as an English-Spanish translator and interpreter in a wide range of areas: financial, legal, literary and medical. I make my best to provide my clients with accurate and timely translations, and to communicate with them as necessary in order to provide them with the results they are looking for.

I'm a language lover who has been translating as a freelancer for 10+ years on various subjects and in several language pairs. I am detail-oriented and will always deliver within deadlines. I have technical and business-related knowledge and experience.

My name is Aurora Martín, I am an Industrial Design Engineer by trade, Spanish native speaker but also trained in several languages (German and English), which are my actual passion. I have been working as a part-time translation freelancer for 9 years now. I have worked translating different kinds of documentation and texts, specially from technical topics due to my background. Since I was on college I had a strong passion for linguistics and the proccess of how language is acquired. Perfectioning my english and forming reading circles were some of the activities I put my effort on, aswell focusing my studies on a language-based therapy.
