I am a qualified Spanish language specialist from Spain with 9 years of experience. I am a member of Asetrad and UniCo. I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting (2009) and a postgraduate degree in Spanish Proofreading, Copyediting and Language Consulting (2018). During my degree I spent one year in Geneva. After graduating, I spent two years in Paris, where I first worked as a project manager and later as a web content editor and translator while I started freelancing. I then returned to Spain, where I worked as an in-house project manager, translator and reviser for several companies until I decided to become a full-time freelancer. I am a Colombian guy who is currently working in Russia, I have been here for more than 5 consecutive years. My native language is Spanish, I have learned English since my childhood and also because I do not live in Colombia, as a personal goal I decided to learn the Russian language, currently I have a good level in all three languages. Extensive experience working with texts of different formats, contracts, manuals, news, reviews, catalogs, websites, etc. Over the years of activity, I have successfully handled with different topics of materials, technical, legal, literary, sports, political and others. Professional translator with 10 years of experience. I'm specialised in marketing, financial and technical translation. My working languages are English and French into Spanish (native). I also find the process of researching a subject to ensure a solid translation to be particularly satisfying, as well as investigating the expressive possibilities of my target language, an aspect of the translation process that is often overlooked and yet an important element of the quality of the final product. I have experience using tools such as Trados or Memsource, as well as the various reliable reference sources for each language (DIEC; Treccani; RAE; Τριανταφυλλίδη...). The type of translation that most attracts my attention is literary, although I have extensive demonstrable experience in the field of technical translation (recent projects being for the nautical and stone industry).
