I am a professional with more than 30 years of experience in English to Spanish and Spanish to English translations. I am capable of delivering excellent quality at an affordable rate. I was born and raised in Guatemala, where I attended an American school learning English as a Native rather than as a second language. I have spent the last 20+ years living in Mexico working as an interpreter and translator for American companies such as Jockey Intl. and Skyline Builders and then I worked with the Real Estate and Tourism Industry at the Riviera Maya for more than 5 years, where I wrote and translated web content, newsletters, rental and sales agreements, contracts and “fideicomisos”. For the last three years I have been translating books, scripts, stories and novels for renowned American, British and Canadian authors. I have a degree in Translation (English to Spanish and Spanish to English) and Editing in Spanish (Corrección de Textos) I also have a degree in Biochemistry.

I'm a university certified English to Spanish translator with 7 years of experience in many fields, specialized in the IT, software, engineering, business, marketing, medical and legal/patents fields. Availability: I'm available full-time, Monday to Sunday. I work during the holidays and overtime as needed. Daily Capacity: Around 3,500 words (translation), 5,000 words (post-editing). Rate: Negotiable. CATs and software that I use: MemoQ, SDL Trados 2017, SDL Passolo, XTM, Memsource, Wordbee, Across, Xbench, Notepad++, Poedit, Idiom Wordserver, Microsoft Office 2013.
