Learning new things has always been an exciting experience, so I got interested in law and human rights, medicine, technologies, and art. For when I go deep into any of the above-mentioned subject, I am mesmerized by the beauty of human thought, this unbelievable power to discover cures for lethal diseases and change the history, fight for justice and equality, make the difference and make this world a better place for us all. Unfortunately, life is too short and there are so many interesting things over there. But I found my way to be involved and help to create something valuable – I became a translator and interpreter. This way, I can focus on delivering the best quality and take pride in my job.

I have been doing translations since 2006. I'm also running a translation agency, however that's a separate business, and you can be sure that all translations at smartcat are done by me personally. I am a certified translator, conference interpreter, engineer and Candidate of technical sciences (kandidat nauk). My language-related hobbies include etymology and comparative linguistics. * Yes, I do speak several languages. * No, I am not fluent enought in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Polish, Azerbaijani or Arabic to translate TO these languages, but I do understand them enough to translate FROM them.

Foreign languages are my passion. I also know German on the B1 level. I am a Lomonosov Moscow State University graduate in English, French, German and Spanish languages. During the course of my studies at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Area Studies I acquired a solid base in linguistics. Now I am studying at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University to get a second bachelor's degree in Biomedical appliances, which makes medicine and medical devices the area of special interest for me. I have extensive experience in technical (user manuals, technical guides, specification sheets, patents, software documentation, etc.), medical (clinical studies, articles, medical equipment manuals, clinical research, etc.) and legal (contracts, certificates, apostilles) translation as well as in marketing and website localization.
