i'm a graduate of a faculty of legal and business studies dr Lazar Vrkatic in Serbia,Novi Sad (Department of English language). I can translate 3 languages:russian,english and serbian languages.Besides business and legal texts i was working in Turkish Stream project for gas pipeline construction in Serbia as a russian/serbian/english language translator. Currently, since October 2020 I've been working at the Federal State Unitary Enterprise The Scientific and Technical Center of the Defense Complex Kompas, where my duty is to provide analytics for the company, as well as also translation of texts' related to the military domain.

I have over 25 years of experience as a freelance translator, in various fields. I started as a translatir of fiction and non-fiction books for the Popurri Publishing House in Minsk, Belarus, in early 1990s. Later I was enrolled on a EU Tacis technical assitance project dealing with employment sevices as a transportation officer/translator where I was responsible, among other things, for delivering everyday translations. In parallel, I did freelance jobs for various translation agencies and the above publishing house. In total, I have worked on 6 international projects in various fields from climate change to biodiversity protection in Grodno Region in Belarus. As a result, I have acquired a solid experience in various areas of expertise as a translator/interpreter. For the last 8 years I have worked as a technical writer for a software company based in Toronto, and with a subsidiary office in Minsk. I have been responsible for online help, manuals, website management, customer support, traslation and transcription/subtitling. I must mention a special experience of mine. For the last 4-5 years, I have been very successfully collaborating with a UK-based translation agency which almost entirely deals with healthcare and pharmacology-related translations. A lion share of this work has been from Russian to English. My previous experience working as a crew member on international TA projects had helped me polish this particular language pair. As can be seen from the above, my translation work has been extensive and thorough. Working with me, you can rely on very accurate translations deliver always on time. I have been lucky enough to travel across the world from a very young age, and this has given me the opportunity to gain exposure in various fields of work with skillful professionals. I do not have a linguistic education, but in the process of my education, working as a lecturer, a researcher and an IT manager (up to CIO), I very often had to apply my knowledge of English for reading and translating English literature and documentation. Since 2017, translation has become the main activity for me. In this work I always try to achieve a meaningful result. Machine translation is mostly not used, although occasionally I resort to it, if the subject allows. I intensively use the CAT-system tools: translation memory, glossaries, concordance search. In the search for translations of terms I use all available means taking into account the context. I can aloso translate into another direction (English) but it's a torture for me because I'm not native in it.
