I am a transparent, goal-oriented, and perfectionist professional with a positive perspective. I enjoy remote work and carefully follow instructions and I find it easy to work for long periods including during the night and maintain my attention to detail. That comes, of course, from having a genuine interest in Languages and Translation since I was a child and constant curiosity in researching different topics. I provide translation, retroversion, proofreading, transcription, and captioning services in general and specialized domains with appropriate technical resources. I used to work as researcher in biology. I did my PhD in Paris, followed by a three year postdoc in Germany. Since June 2017, I'm trying to switch career to a language related one. My 6 years experience in an academic setting provided me with expertise not only in theoretical and experimental biology, programming and office software, but also in writing and proofreading scientific articles in both English and French.

During the past six years, I have gathered extensive experience in translation from English, German, Portuguese, and Spanish into French. I worked with a wide range of topics and media such as press articles, videos, or technical reports about international trade, environmental sciences, energy, economics, politics, and arts. I also have experience with editing and proofreading.

I have been working in companies in Hamburg for the past two years as a student assistant. In the last two jobs I had (one at a statistics company and another at an international cooperation NGO) I have been tasked regularly to translate documents from French to English and from English to French. Additionally, I grew up in the bilingual city of Montréal where these two languages are used interchangeably. I did all my elementary and secondary education in French and all my university (first and second cycles) in English.

I am a professional translator/interpreter from Yekaterinburg, Russia. Free lance experience since 1998 (see details in my CV attached hereto). I mainly work in the field of industry, especially metallurgy, as our region has been developing since the 18th century around metal extraction and metal work. I am able to provide on site translation service as well as translation of any documents supporting your project - from technical data sheets and descriptions to contracts and reports. In 2013, I started translating articles for the Russian Academy of Sciences (the Ural Branch). Since that time, no article has been refused by foreign publishing houses and offices for a poor quality of translation.
