My name is Vanessa Walsh and I'm currently working as a freelance translator and language teacher in Bavaria, Germany. I have an MA in Translation Sciences from the University of Heidelberg in Germany and a BA from Queen's University in Canada in Foreign Languages and Intl. Studies (French/German). I grew up in Ontario, Canada, and English is my mother language. I'm from the US, but now reside in Riga, Latvia and have a PhD in Slavic & East European Studies.

I grew up in the USA, before moving to the Netherlands in 2004. I started translating with an opera script, that I also helped edit, which encouraged me to start my own freelance business.
