I am a languages student from Northern Ireland, studying Spanish and Portuguese. I may not be fully qualified, but I am now looking to fill my time with more translation due to the fact that I had to return home during my Erasmus year due to the COVID-19 outbreak. I still am continuing with my classes from my host university (Porto, in Portugal) and am currently studying a translation module so I am familiar with CAT software and the proper protocol for translation.

Native English speaker with experience working with a range texts from well-known companies and organizations, including UNESCO, Aeroflot, IKEA, and the Moscow Cosmonautics and Aviation Centre. Over my career, I've translated everything from movie scripts and museum exhibits to computer programming courses and marketing materials.

I hold a B.A. (Languages) degree, two Project Management diplomas and a certificate in html/css and web design, as well as a TEFL diploma, amongst others. I have excellent time management skills, outstanding attention to detail and a highly professional work ethic. ​I have been editing and proofreading university theses, novel and literature manuscripts, newsletter and other publications on a freelance basis since 2002. Fluent in English, Afrikaans and German, with a strong proficiency in Dutch, I offer multiple professional linguistic services. I grew up in the USA, before moving to the Netherlands in 2004. I started translating with an opera script, that I also helped edit, which encouraged me to start my own freelance business. Since then I have done subtitling in addition to translation of many different types of documents. I've done company films, marketing and pr films and documents, as well as recipes, menus, websites and many other things.

I am a recent graduate living in Germany. I enjoy translating on the side both as a hobby as well as a steady source of income. I consider Russian, English and French as my mother tongues.
