I've been born to German-speaking Austrian parents but was raised in English-speaking Canada. Due to this fact and to the fact that I competed my Master's in Austria, I am fluent in both languages and am fond of translating from German into English. Since 2000, when I started my translator's career, I've managed to translate millions of words in a great range of fields, from fiction to medicine.

My name is Lada Zahlavova and I was born on 5th January 1981 in The Czech Republic. Languages have been my passion since the very childhood and so has been also biology and writing. I have been a freelancer since 2010. before that period I worked as a tour guide and a travel agency assistant. My main branches are teaching and translating. I have been translating professionally since 2011. Since then, I have translated almost 80 thousand words of various documents. I focus mainly on Electrotechnic, legal, IT- technology, medical and food industry. During my 11 years stay in London I started working as an interpreter for few companies. I was interpreting to clients in hospitals, clients in social services and on art exhibitions. I have been also tranlating and proofreading projects, documents and surveys from English to Czech, Czech to English, English to Slovak, Slovak to English in number of London based call centres, and other types of businesses and individuals. Nowadays I work as a freelance translator.
